Welcome to Asatru Europe Network!

The Asatru-EU Network has been a cornerstone of inter-European heathen cooperation for 15 years now, and most visibly through organizing the International Asatru Summer Camps (IASC) since 2009. This informal network has now taken a significant step forward by establishing itself as a formal organization – the
Asatru Europe Network (AEN).

We officially founded AEN in Cologne, Germany, on 30th November 2024, where it will maintain its business address and operate under German law. A Board of Directors of 5 people from Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany will lead AEN and set up its structures.

Founding process

AEN is a pan-European project.

Due to the lack of a legal framework for private associations crossing the borders of single European countries it was decided to use the legal form of a “eingetragener Verein (e.V)” (registered private association) in Germany to realise our ideas for structure and general organisation as much as possible.

AEN has been registered as a private association in November 2025. See details under Imprint.

Executive Board

In the founding assembly an Executive Board was elected for 3 years as demanded by our Statutes and the law in Germany. The Board has no “presidents” or such – it consists of 5 persons with equal capacities and shares and distributes tasks within itself.

The Executive Board has the following members:
– Gunna Einarsdottir, NL
– Hanna Vulykh, S
– Karel Ochman, CZ
– Sebastian Stein, D
– Haimo Grebenstein, D

Mission

The Mission Statement is our most important guideline.  This statement defines our values, goals and ethics and determines our processes.

Our founding documents can be viewed on our Downloads page in English as well as German versions.

Membership

It is possible to apply for membership in AEN for individual persons as well as groups and associations (with and without a legal status).

Until being finally registered, AEN had only those individual persons as members who have participated in the founding assembly. This has now been changed after the first regular General Assembly on Nov. 30th, 2025.

Please visit our Downloads page.

You will find 2 different forms for
– individual membership (person/s)
– institutional membership (associations and groups)

Also you will find:
– AEN Statutes (EN and DE)
– AEN Mission Statement (EN and DE)
– AEN Rules of Procedure (EN and DE)
as fundamental information. Please read all three documents before you file an application since the acceptance of all these is mandatory for membership.
